This Privacy Policy explains how the developer of FocusIsle ("FocusIsle," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the FocusIsle mobile application, widgets, and Live Activities (collectively, the "App").

1. Summary

FocusIsle is designed to work primarily on your device. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

2. Information Handled by the App

Information you provide

The App may store information that you enter or generate while using it, including:

• focus session start times, end times, and durations;
• selected tasks, scenes, sounds, and focus modes;
• daily goals, preferences, and other settings; and
• purchase entitlement status.

This information is used to provide features such as timelines, weekly statistics, goal progress, widgets, Live Activities, and personalized settings.

Device and technical information

The App may access limited technical information necessary to provide its features, such as:

• the current audio route, including whether compatible headphones are connected;
• notification authorization status;
• App version and device operating system information needed for compatibility; and
• network availability when performing an update check or communicating with Apple services.

The App does not use this information to identify you or build an advertising profile.

3. Where Information Is Stored

Focus records, goals, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple-provided storage technologies, including Core Data and UserDefaults. Purchase entitlement status may be stored in the iOS Keychain.

Statistics required by FocusIsle widgets are shared locally between the App and its widget extension through an Apple App Group container. Live Activity content is managed through Apple's ActivityKit framework.

We do not operate an account system or a cloud database for your focus records. Deleting the App may delete locally stored information, subject to iOS backup and restoration behavior controlled by Apple and your device settings.

4. Purchases and Apple Services

FocusIsle offers a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. Purchases, payments, refunds, and transaction history are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

To validate or restore a purchase, the App may send an App Store receipt directly to Apple's receipt-verification service. Apple processes this information under its own privacy policy and terms.

The App may also contact Apple's public App Store service to check whether a newer version is available.

5. Notifications, Widgets, and Live Activities

If you grant permission, FocusIsle may send local notifications related to your focus sessions. These notifications are scheduled and delivered using Apple system services.

Widgets and Live Activities may display focus statistics, task names, elapsed time, or goal progress on the Home Screen, Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, or other system surfaces. Anyone who can view your device may be able to see this information. You can remove widgets, disable Live Activities, or change notification settings at any time in iOS Settings.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your focus records with advertising networks or data brokers.

Information is disclosed only when needed to provide a feature you request, such as purchase processing and verification through Apple, or when required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored focus records and settings remain on your device until you delete them through the App, clear the relevant data, or uninstall the App. You can use the App's record-management controls to export or delete focus records.

Because we do not maintain user accounts or a server-side focus-record database, we generally do not possess a separate copy of your focus records that can be deleted on your behalf. For privacy questions or requests concerning information you believe we hold, contact us using the address below.

8. Your Choices

You may:

• decline or revoke notification permission in iOS Settings;
• disable or remove widgets and Live Activities;
• delete or export focus records using the App's settings;
• stop using the App and uninstall it; and
• contact us with a privacy question or request.

9. Children's Privacy

FocusIsle is not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the user's jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us.

10. Security

We use the protections provided by iOS, including application sandboxing and Keychain storage where appropriate. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International Use

You may use FocusIsle in countries with privacy laws that differ from those in your place of residence. Where applicable law grants you privacy rights, you may contact us to exercise those rights. We will respond as required by applicable law.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, legal requirements, or our practices. We will revise the effective date when changes are made. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or its App Store listing where appropriate.
